The instruments come first. Four projects on clean, well behaved data, so that when the messy data arrives in the next group you are fighting one problem instead of two.

Linear Algebra with NumPy
Vectors, matrices and the operations models are built from, written in the library you will use all year.

Pandas
Load, filter, group and join data until reshaping a dataset is faster than opening a spreadsheet.

Plotting
Make data say something, and learn which chart answers which question.

Probability
Distributions and uncertainty. The heaviest project in this group, and the one everything later leans on.
